Funding

There are a few different ways to access financial support for my services, and it can sometimes be confusing to know which funding applies to which supports. Below are the most common options you can use to access occupational therapy with me. If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, you’re welcome to contact me to discuss which options may be available for you or your family.

For occupational therapy, ask your doctor if you or your child are eligible for a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), formerly known as the GPMP and the EPC. You will need to access the plan prior to your first session. The plan can be used for up to five individual occupational therapy sessions per calendar year and a partial amount of the fee will be reimbursed to you by Medicare ($61.80). The amount will increase if you are over the safety net.

Medicare

I provide occupational therapy services for NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. If you have funding available under the Improved Daily Living support category, this can be used for OT sessions. If you’re unsure, you can check your NDIS plan under the Capacity Building section to see whether this funding is included.

If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a partial rebate for occupational therapy under your extras cover. It’s a good idea to check with your fund to confirm whether OT is included. If you are eligible for a rebate, please let me know before your first session, as some insurers require practitioners to be registered with them.
